St ANTON am Arlberg, Tirol

St Anton is one of the best known ski resorts in Austria. Located in the west of Austria, in the Arlberg region, it has everything to offer from superb winter skiing to all the usual summer activities on offer in Austria.

St. Anton am Arlberg is a snowy paradise of the highest calibre in winter, and a hotspot for hikers and climbers in the summer. But there's more - St. Anton am Arlberg is a modern holiday resort that has retained its traditional appeal. Hospitality and Tyrolean customs are as much a trademark of the village as its international, cosmopolitan character. And not only does it offer a colossal backdrop of peaks and popular (skiing) mountains, it also has all the comforts you would expect from an international holiday resort.

In summer, St. Anton am Arlberg is the perfect setting for a classic mountain holiday. Walking, climbing or mountain-biking, tennis, squash or golf, horse-riding, rafting or paragliding...there are many ways of enjoying an active leisure break in St. Anton's healthy mountain air - in summer as well as in winter.

Zell am See - Kaprun is in the Europa-Sport-Region and leaves in its infrastructure no wishes open. It starts with the glacier skiing area in Kaprun and in Zell am See - - Schmittenhöhe and Areit cable way, as well as the cross-country skiing from Zell am See to Krimml.  The 36-hole golf course should be in the near future enlarged to 45 holes. In summer, the Zeller Lake with its wonderful bathing beaches in Thumersbach as well as the many excursion possibilities such as Großglockner (Austria´s highest mountain), hydroelectric groups in Kaprun and the Krimmler waterfall or a good hour to Salzburg or 40 minutes to Kitzbühel.

A thermal spa bath is in planning that should be constructed in 2008/2009.

MARIA ALM, Salzburg

Nestled amid a green, pristine natural setting and set against the backdrop of the Steinernes Meer and the Hochkönig, Maria Alm lies at an elevation of 802 meters above sea level and also includes the two mountain villages, Hintermoos and Hinterthal.

Maria Alm with 2200 residents is the largest of the three villages. The pilgrimage church in the heart of the town has the highest church tower (83 meters) in the entire Salzburg province.

Hintermoos lies between the peaks of the Sterinernes Meer and the Grass Mountains of Dienten. The Hundstein is 2.117 meters high and therefore the highest Grass Mountain on Europe.

The town of Hinterthal reaches 1.020 meters above sea level. The dripping waters of Hinterthal' is considered to be the main attraction of the town.

Rich in snow, nature and recreational opportunities in summer, rustic and covered in snow during the winter, Maria Alm promises its guests a truly unforgettable vacation.Maria Alm of Hochkönig Winterworld is also a part of the biggest skiing area in Austria - Ski Amade.

ST JOHANN IN TIROL

St. Johann in Tyrol (670 meters above sea level) with its 8,300 inhabitants is the commercial centre as well as the tourism centre of the region.

In the summer, St. Johann-in-Tyrol primarily scores points with its excellent infrastructure which further upgrades and supports this top regional location for cyclists, mountain bikers and walkers. The ‘Panorama Badewelt' attracts visitors with a particularly pleasant array of bathing facilities that include a large sauna and wellness area as well as indoor and outdoor tennis courts.

At their own expense, more adventurous visitors take part in ballooning, tandem paragliding and sports flying. The most beautiful towns and villages of the region are connected together by an extensive network of walking, cycling and mountain bike tracks that take in many attractive destinations.

In the winter, with 17 cable cars and ski lifts on the snowy side of the Kitzbuehel Horn, the St. Johanner inclines boast around 60 piste skiing kilometres that cater for all difficulty levels.

With excellently maintained cross country skiing tracks (St. Johann is the starting point and final destination of the largest cross country skiing race in Austria), winter walking tracks, an ice skating rink and numerous other amenities, St. Johann is a popular venue for winter sports enthusiasts as well as for lovers of nature.

REITH near Kitzbühel, Tirol

Reith is located in the Kitzbühel Alps, only a stone-throw from Kitzbühel.

Altitude 800m to 2,000m above sea level, 1717 Inhabitants.

The small neighbor of Kitzbühel offers plenty for international guests. Numerous hiking and cycling trails, the local golf course and the idyllic Schwarzsee Lake offer plenty for a varied stay. In the winter you are spoilt for choice: winter hiking or cross-country skiing? Ice skating or skiing?
